OnePlus 3 price to be cheaper than OnePlus 2; Two models in works with stunning design
OnePlus 3 is rumoured to launch in the next month. Speculation suggest that the Chinese manufacturer will be releasing the OnePlus 3 in two variants. Its base model is expected to be cheaper than OnePlus 2.
An unnamed employee from OnePlus has stated that the upcoming OnePlus 3 will be arriving in two models. Both the models will be powered by the same Snapdragon 820 chipset, but the two will differ in RAM and native storage, Gizmo China reported.
The base model of OnePlus 3 is expected to be priced at $1999 Yuan (AU$450). If this come true, it will be cheaper than OnePlus 2’s launch price of $349 (AU$458). The base model is expected to feature SD 820 chip, 4 GB of RAM and native storage of 32 GB. The higher-end model is expected to arrive with the same chipset, 6 GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 64 GB.
The OnePlus 3 is also expected to feature an impressive rear camera. Pete Lau, the CEO of the Chinese firm has allegedly revealed a camera sample of OnePlus 3. The photo that features pink coloured flowers features appears to be well-detailed and rich in colours.
The rumour mill has claimed that the OnePlus 3 will be coming with a 16 MP camera on its rear side. It is expected to house a front-facing camera of 8 MP. Even though the company has not released new information on the launch date of OnePlus 3, speculations suggest that the smartphone is slated for an unveil of May 18 followed by a market release in the coming month.
Carl Pei, the co-founder of the firm had revealed to CNET in an interview in February that the OnePlus 3 release date would happen in the end of second quarter of 2016. He also added that the OnePlus 3 will captivate the audience with its new design. Microsoft is speculated to be building a Windows 10 Mobile ROM for OnePlus 3 smartphone.
