OnePlus 3T & Huawei Honor 6X specs & features comparison: OnePlus takes the lead
The Huawei Honor 6X and OnePlus 3T have certain common features but the differences are many. If one is in a dilemma as to which one to go for, a comparison of their specs and features is important to have a clear idea about which one is better. Both the handsets sport 5.5-inch displays though the technologies used in displays are different. The Honor 6X, released in October 2016, has an LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. OnePlus 3T released in November 2016.
The OnePlus 3T handset has the same screen resolution but an Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and runs on Oxygen OS 4.0.2. The Huawei Honor 6 runs on Emotion UI 4.1. Both the phones have an Android Marshmallow operating system with planned upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. There is a marked difference between the processors used. Honor 6X is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 655 and Mali-T830MP2. The OnePlus 3T uses a Snapdragon 821 chip along with Adreno 530 GPU, GSMArena reports.
While the OnePlus 3T smartphone is available in 64/128GB internal storage options and 6GB RAM and no microSD slot, the Honor 6X has a 32GB variant with 3GB RAM and 64GB variant with 4GB RAM, expandable up to 256GB via microSD slot. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present in both though FM Radio is available only in Honor 6X. Both the handsets come with fingerprint scanners with Huawei phone having a rear-mounted one. OnePlus 3T has a 3,400 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery compared to Honor’s 3340 mAh non-removable battery.
Camera-wise it’s a tough fight between the two as OnePlus 3T comes with a 16MP primary camera with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, OIS and LED flash and 16 MP selfie camera with f/2.0, 1.0 µm pixel size and 1080p. The Huawei Honor 6X has a dual 12 MP + 2 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash and 8MP secondary camera with 1080p video recording. OnePlus 3T costs about US$440 (AU$580 approx) for the 6GB/64GB model and about US$480 (AU$630 approx) for the 6GB/128GB model, reports Android Headlines.
The Huawei Honor 6X 3GB/32GB model costs around US$250 (AU$330 approx) while the 4GB/64GB model is around US$300 (AU$390 approx). OnePlus 3T is the winner here despite the slightly higher price as it has a better display, processor, GPU, RAM, camera and NFC capability.
