OnePlus One Preorder Period Will Only Last For 1 Hour
In the previous month, OnePlus had announced that it would make the One smartphone available through preorder system. At that time, it had not revealed the actual date for starting the OnePlus One preorders.
Today, the popular smartphone manufacturer has proclaimed that the OnePlus One smartphone would be available for preorders on October 27 at 3 PM GMT for an hour. People in United States can preorder the One smartphone at 8 AM PST and 11 AM EST. If you are located in Central Europe, the preorder will begin at 4 PM.
The upcoming preorder date would be OnePlus One's very first attempt at making the One smarpthone available through preorder system. In the past, only a person with an invitation from the manufacturer could purchase the One handset. According to PhoneArena, this allowed the company to manufacture enough devices according to the invitations it gave to its audience.
A buyer is not allowed to book more than two handsets. The preorder will run only for 60 minutes and payments will be processed through PayPal. The preorder.oneplus.net page allows you to 'prepare' your preorder by letting you add the OnePlus One to the shopping cart along with your details. The only thing you won't be able to do is make payment, which you are supposed to carry out on October 27.
According to GSMArena, even though the One smartphone will be available for preorders on the coming Monday, OnePlus will also continue to stick with the invitation system. This means that if you preorder the handset and then receive an invitation, you won't have to wait in the preorder line and the handset will be shipped to you immediately.
To inaugurate the upcoming preorders, the Chinese manufacturer is also selling accessories with discounted rates. For instance, the JBL E1+ earphones will be available for $24.99 instead of the usual price of $39.99.
The OnePlus One is priced at $300. At that awesome price, you can lay your hands on a smartphone with 5.5-inch full HD screen powered by Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor working at 2.5 GHz along with 3 GB RAM and an internal storage of 16 GB. It houses a 13 MP shooter and a 5 MP selfie camera. The handset has a 3100 mAh battery and is running on Android v4.4.4 KitKat overlaid with CyanogenMod 11S.
