OnePlus One’s 13 MP Camera Can Now Snap 50 MP Photos Without Rooting, Find Out How To Do It
Even though OnePlus fans are waiting for the arrival of OnePlus 2 flagship, the predecessor model has still not lost its popularity. Fresh news coming from Phone Arena claims that the CyanogenMod 11 S powered OnePlus One can snap 50 MP photos even though it features a 13 MP camera.
According to Phone Arena, owners of OnePlus One can now shoot 50 MP pictures without rooting their devices. However, this trick will only work on CyanogenMod 11S powered OnePlus One. Hence, users who have switched to another ROM will not be able to take advantage of it.
The camera app present on the ColorOS of Oppo is now available on CyanogenMod 11S. Phone Arena claims that this app enables users to capture 50 MP photos through image interpolation technology. When Oppo had launched the Find 7 and Find 7a, the ColorOS camera app that these handsets came managed to impress the audience at it could snap stunning high-quality photos.
It is quite easy to install the camera app from ColorOS on the OnePlus One handset. The APK file for installation is available on XDA. After installing it, users are required to install some plugins that are also available on the XDA link. According to Android Headlines, users are required to install not more than five plugins. Adding more plugins than recommended will result in the malfunctioning of the camera app.
It further states that users are required to disable on-screen navigation bar and the full-screen mode of the app should also be enabled. After from ability to shoot 50 MP images, the other features of the ColorOS camera app include 4K video shooting with support for pause and resume, HDR video recording, slow motion video recording and so on.
OnePlus One is rumoured to get replaced by the successor model called OnePlus Two. However, there is no official confirmation on it from the Chinese manufacturer. The OnePlus One is a very impressive smartphone that comes with 5-inch full HD screen, Snapdragon 801 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 16/64 GB internal storage, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera, 3,100 mAh battery and a very affordable price tag.
