The Oppo N1 that came out in September 2013 will soon be replaced by a successor model. GSMArena has revealed that Oppo, the famous consumer electronics company from China, will be rolling a smartphone named Oppo N3 in the coming month.

Recently, Oppo has released two teasers of its upcoming handset out of which one features an old telephone that misplaced number 3 and the text on the teaser image reads 'This was the phone.' The other teaser reads 'One More Step' and '2014.10'.

It seems quite evident that Oppo N1 phablet that has become one year old now will be replaced by the rumoured Oppo N3. Apart from the information, we have shared with you on Oppo N3, nothing else was revealed by the manufacturer.

Tech enthusiasts are of the view that the successor model of Oppo N1 may feature a compact appearance along with quad HD display. One of the most distinctive features of the Oppo N1 was that it came housed with a rotating camera. The same swivel mechanism with advanced camera lens is expected to come on the Oppo N3.

After the arrival of Oppo N1, the Chinese manufacturer had released the Oppo N1 mini, Oppo Find 7 and Oppo Find 7a, but none of them were dubbed as a direct successor to the flagship Oppo N1.

PhoneArena claims that when Oppo Malaysia was asked when the company would launch a better smartphone than the Galaxy Note 4, they responding by saying that the company is already working on a successor handset for Oppo N1.

The Oppo N1 that came out in 2013 was one of the best smartphones of the year. The N1 featured a 5.9-inch IPS LCD display screen that supports full HD resolution and a pixel count of 373ppi.

The Oppo N1 was powered with a low-end quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor that produced a clocking speed of 1.7GHz alongside Adreno 320 graphics. It also came with 2GB RAM.

As we mentioned, the 13MP rear camera that comes with a dual-LED flash with swivel mechanism is one of the best features of the handset. It supports full HD video recording. On the front too, the handset features a 13MP camera along with LED flash.

It also featured Android v4.2 Jelly Bean, internal storage options of 16GB and 32GB, 3G, Wi-Fi aGPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG and a non-removable battery of 3610mAh. However, it did not feature a microSD slot but came with a unique O-Click accessory that can be used like a remote control to access various features such as snapping photos, finding the phone and establishing Bluetooth connection.
