‘The Originals’ Season 3 Casting News:New Characters To Arrive In New Orleans, Promo Video Teases Mikaelson Family’s New Enemies

A new season of the CW TV series, titled “The Originals,” means there will be a new storyline and new faces arriving in New Orleans. The casting reports tease about the three new characters arriving in town to either become an ally or cause more trouble to the Mikaelson family in “The Originals” Season 3.

According to a TVLine report, the three new “The Originals” Season 3 characters are Aurora, Lucien and Detective Will Kinney. The CW is expected to reveal the name of the actors who will portray the new characters soon.

After killing off Gia, played by Nishi Munshi, the vampire character and love interest of Original vampire Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, the supernatural show will be introducing a new vampire in New Orleans, named Aurora. The first new character in “The Originals” Season 3 is described as a “sexy vampire” who is capable of “unleashing her dark side.”

The next character to be introduced in the upcoming new season is another vampire, named Lucien, who has a past with the Mikaelsons. As expected, Lucien’s history with the Original vampires was not pleasant so the “good-looking” and “calculating vamp” heads to New Orleans to get even with the Mikaelsons.

The fans will have to wait for the new season of “The Originals” to find out what the Mikaelsons did to Lucien in the past. Klaus Mikaelson, played by Joseph Morgan, is most likely to be the person who created an enemy out of Lucien and now the latter wants revenge on the Original vampire-werewolf hybrid.

The third new character to be introduced in “The Originals” Season 3 is a handsome human detective, named Will Kinney. TVLine’s spoiler report further added that Detective Will Kinney is “determined to bring wrongdoers to justice” but he has no idea that powerful vampires, witches and werewolves are the ones causing trouble and deaths in New Orleans.

In a TV Fanatic report, a promo video for “The Originals” Season 3 teases the list of enemies as well as the new threats that Klaus must deal with when the CW TV series returns. The brand new season will have a strained relationship between the Mikaelson brothers because Klaus killed Gia and placed the Crescent Moon Curse on Hayley, played by Phoebe Tonkin, and her wolf pack in “The Originals” Season 2.

Aside from Elijah, Hayley and Jackson, played by Nathan Parsons, Klaus’ other enemies will include Davina, played by Danielle Campbell, who is now the new Regent or supreme leader of the witches in New Orleans, and a couple of revengeful vampires. In the promo video, a woman tells someone that the Originals are very far from untouchable and they have finally found their weaknesses after a millennium.

The mysterious woman also hands over a file that contains information on Marcel, played by Charles Michael Davis, Davina, Cami, played by Leah Pipes, and Hayley. Then, the new female villain suggests that they should stop fighting each other and go after the ones who made them vampires.

“The Originals” Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Thursday night, Oct 8. The premiere episode will air at 9/8c on the CW Network.
