The CW's released episode synopsis, promo photos and videos tease about the escalating war between witches and vampires in "The Originals." In Episode 13 titled "Crescent City," powerful witch Celeste (Shannon Kane) continues to cause trouble and Original hybrid leader Klaus (Joseph Morgan) looks ready to face the battle with the witches.

The brief promo video shows Klaus acknowledging that the attacks on the vampires are the witches' way of declaring war. Another scene teases the viewers with the much anticipated meeting of Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Celeste.

"I'm not here to kill you, Elijah. I'm here to teach you the error of your ways," Celeste stated. Then, Elijah responds that it is not every day someone will ask him to betray his own brother. Will Elijah's love for Celeste make him choose to go against his brother Klaus and forget the Mikaelson family saying of "Always and Forever?"

The other exciting scenes in the promo video include Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) running to save her and her baby's life from a fiery hall and a girl in a coffin screaming for help. The WetPaint spoiler report claims the young girl appears to be Sophie's niece, Monique.

"The stench of witches is in the air," Klaus menacingly declared before the promo video ended. The episode's synopsis in the Examiner report reveals unexpected visitors will be arriving in New Orleans.

The synopsis reads: "At the re-opening of St. Anne's Church, Father Kieran (guest star Todd Stashwick) finds himself in a great deal of trouble after a run-in with a witch from his past. Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) grow concerned when the reemergence of someone they once knew threatens to expose secrets they've kept buried for nearly a century. Elsewhere, Sophie (Daniella Pineda) is shocked when a discovery is made at the cemetery, but she soon realizes things may not be as they seem. With the full moon looming, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) lets Rebekah in on her plan to throw a party for her werewolf clan, but things take a dangerous turn when uninvited guests arrive. Meanwhile, Cami (Leah Pipes) is conflicted when she makes a difficult decision involving the safety of Father Kieran, and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) finds himself facing his own dilemma when he has to choose between Hayley and his siblings. Finally, when one of his plans fails, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) takes drastic measures in the Cauldron, resulting in dangerous repercussions that affect everyone involved."

"The Originals" Episode 13 "Crescent City" is scheduled to air on Tuesday night, Feb. 4, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW network.
