Maria Gabriela Isler has become the seventh Miss Universe title holder from Venezuela when crowned the Miss Universe 2013 at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia on November 9. Recently, Osmel Sousa, president of the Miss Venezuela Organization, has revealed that though wining at the contest was not easy task but he never doubted the talent and beauty of Isler.

During the competition, Maria showed her charm, charisma, and preparation very well and got the highest votes of judges. The two previous successive wins of Dayana Mendoza (Miss Universe 2008 and Stefania Fernandez (Miss Universe 2009) earned "The Guiness World record" for Venezuela, and Miss Venezuela Organization.

Venezuela will be remembered in history as the country that wins the highest marks in splendour and beauty followed by the triumphs of Alicia Machado, Barbara Palacios, Irene Sáez, and Maritza Sayalero. Noteworthy point is in 1981, Venezuela won the title of Miss Universe and Miss World Irene Saez and Pilin Leon respectively, which subsequently gave the Miss Venezuela contest a global impact.

"It was not easy to win, as her had challenged with so many great candidates, but I never doubted the ability of María Gabriela Isler." Osmel Sousa, president of the Miss Venezuela Organization, who accompanied Maria Gabriela to Moscow revealed about the contest and its challenges.

Since entering the Miss Venezuela contest, Osmel always thought that Maria Gabriela Isler is a beauty with great talent and style, soon after Maria crowned Miss Venezuela 2012, she dynamically got involved in various philanthropic initiatives and activities of the Cisneros Group.

These included: aid in the San Juan de Dios Hospital, with the group of woman volunteers, support in the areas of Orthopedics, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Otorrinología, Area Surgical, and Patient Care. Isler also used these altruistic activities to persuade other young people to become agents of change and help deprived groups of society.

The president of Miss Universe organization stated before the contest that a substantial contestant is what they are looking for as the winner.

"She hast to have the 'It' factor," "I don't care about skin color, hair color, eye color. She has to have charisma. I tell the judges, the first thing is I want you to say, 'Of course, that's Miss Universe." Said Paula Shugart (the president of the Miss Universe organization).
