Meanwhile a track from the upcoming soundtrack of the second season has been posted on BuzzFeed. This is “The Skye Boat Song” that was tweaked for the second season with a French version at the beginning. The song was initially supposed to be fully in French, but Composer Bear McCreary and Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore decided that such a drastic change in the opening theme would be “too jarring” for the fans. So, they came up with a hybrid of French and Scottish.
McCreary also pointed out that the main character did not spend a lot of time in France, so that meant that the theme song had to change once they returned to Scotland. It is not clear if they are coming up with another tweak for “Outlander” Season 3, as the main characters will now be travelling to the Caribbean.
While the fans wait for Droughtlander to end, they can pick up the official merchandise of the TV series from the official store of the TV series. From, toys, t-shirts to jewelry; the store has a wide selection for the fans to choose from.
In a press release, Starz also announced the launch of a limited edition “Outlander” inspired wine collection from Lot18. The collection will be available from Nov. 7 and the first 100 orders will receive a special gift.
