'Outlander' season 3: Clair and Frank attempt to patch things up; First official look of flashback scene from Boston
Claire and Frank will attempt to patch things up in “Outlander” season 3, Caitriona Balfe revealed in a recent interview. A first look of the two characters welcoming a new member of the family has been released online.
[Spoiler alert]
Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Frank (Tobias Menzies) will be seen in Boston in a flashback sequence next year, shortly after she returns from the 1740s. A picture of Claire with her newborn baby has been released on Entertainment Weekly. She is showing the baby to her first husband in this scene.
Frank previously agreed to raise Brianna (Sophie Skelton) as his own daughter, provided that she is never told that her real father is Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). The picture released online is right after the birth.
Balfe called the time with Frank in Boston as a “new beginning.” The estranged couple attempt to “patch things up” and “embrace the future” in “Outlander” season 3, Balfe pointed out, but it isn’t going to be easy.
During this time, Claire believes that Jamie is dead, so her main focus is to give her daughter a stable family. Balfe explained that it is going to be difficult for both her character and Frank.
The next season will begin with the Battle of Culloden. There will be a face-off between Jamie and Black Jack in this fight. The plot this time around is based on Diana Gabaldon’s book “Voyager.”
Filming of the first eight episodes of “Outlander” Season 3 must be completed by this weekend. The cast and crew will then take a short break, before continuing the production. The team is expected to travel to South Africa next to shoot the sea voyage on a ship and the Caribbean scenes. This will happen after the reunion scene of Jamie and Claire, after which they will stay together.
