'Outlander' Season 3: Romann Berrux back in Scotland to begin filming
Cast member Romann Berrux has reached Scotland, and is expected to begin filming his scenes for “Outlander” Season 3. The show will once again follow the flash back and flash forward format, in which the fans will get to see the characters as young people, and later the older versions.
Romann (Fergus) posted a picture on Twitter, and shared his excitement about being back in Scotland. Fergus is the young pickpocket that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) encountered in France. The young boy was later taken in by the Scotsman, and is now seen as a part of the family.

The next season will begin with the Battle of Culloden, a time when Fergus was still a young boy. The TV series will later show a grown up Fergus, 20 years after the events of the battle. The role of the grownup Fergus will be played by Cesar Domboy.
According to the official character description of the grownup Fergus in “Outlander” Season 3, he has a “strong sense of loyalty and decorum,” despite his “unconventional upbringing” in a French brothel. The character has been described as the “ultimate romantic,” who wears his heart on his sleeve. He falls in and out of love pretty quickly.
Over the years, Fergus’ loyalty to Jamie has never wavered. He is now an “integral part of the Fraser clan.” But, what he wants the most is lasting love and a permanent sense of belonging.
Filming of the first block of the next season has already been completed. It is not clear when Domboy will be filming his scenes for the show.
“Outlander” Season 3 is set to premiere sometime in 2017. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date. The new season is based on Diana Gabaldon’s book “Voyager.” As the name suggests, the show will take the main characters on a journey to the Caribbean. Meanwhile, Co-executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts has been teasing some behind the scenes pictures from the set.
