'Outlander' Season 3: A whole bunch of pictures from production set leak
A set of pictures from the production set of “Outlander” Season 3 have leaked online. The pictures show blood on Sam Heughan’s face and also on many of the extras on the set who are playing the roles of British soldiers and men in Charles Stuart’s army.
[Spoiler alert]
The Battle of Culloden has finally arrived. The previous season did not show the actual scenes of the battle, but the new season will show at least the aftermath. Pictures posted on Just Jared shows Heughan (Jamie Fraser) getting ready to film his scene with makeup showing blood flowing down his face.
Towards the end of the previous season, Claire (Caitriona Bale) found out that Jamie survived the Battle of Culloden. She has always assumed that he had died, but the revelation prompted her to consider going back in time and reuniting with the love of her life.
The TV series has already revealed that the Highlanders will lose the battle. The leaked pictures from the production set of “Outlander” Season 3 show a group of weary Scotsmen who appear to have been taken prisoners by the British. One of the pictures shows Heughan with his hands behind his back, which could be the scene where Jamie is also taken prisoner.
Duncan Lacroix (Murtagh Fraser) seems to be missing in the leaked pictures. Fans who have read the books by Diana Gabaldon already know the fate of the character. Will the producers stick to the storyline in the books? Or will they keep Lacroix, who has won the hearts of many of the viewers.
“Outlander” Season 3 is set to premiere sometime in 2017. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date. The show is expected to once again have 13 episodes. As some of the major characters are already dead, and more are expected to die; the show will now introduce a new set of characters.
