Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6 specs, price and launch details: New rugged laptop means business
Panasonic has launched the latest addition to its robust laptop roster, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6. The “business rugged” portable PC is one of the most lightweight built-to-last laptops in the market with its sleek and slim design. It’s also a 2-in-1 detachable hybrid, providing flexibility and convenience.
The newest Panasonic rugged laptop is bound to turn heads at the office. It’s considerably light for a full-bodied machine with its 1.18-kilogram (or 2.60-pound) load. But despite its transportability, the notebook is anything but lightweight both outside and inside.
Executives should be pleased with the CF-XZ6’s computing muscle. The laptop packs the latest contemporary 7th gen Intel Core i5-7300U vPro chip. It also has adequate storage for programmes and files with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB PCIe-based SSD.
The machine provides sufficient on-the-go computing with up to 14 hours of battery life. The tablet houses a standalone built-in battery that lasts up to 6.5 hours and the keyboard body has an end-user removable hot-swap battery for continuous and uninterrupted workflow. The CF-XZ6 notebook sports a 12-inch IPS touchscreen display with a 2,160 x 1,440 QHD pixel resolution. It features a somewhat strange circular touchpad, which should provide easy scrolling when viewing documents.
The new Toughbook also has a slew of business connectivity options – including three USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C port, one HDMI port and even a VGA slot – for mobile convenience. The rugged portable workstation is likewise ready for the rigours of frequent travelling thanks to its magnesium alloy chassis. It has been tested to withstand a 30-inch drop and 100-kilogram-force of pressurised vibration.
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6 will be available starting July. The standard configuration rugged laptop will have a starting price of £1,539 (excluding taxes), which converts to about US$1,979 or AU$2,599. It comes with a three-wear warranty.
