Pangu iOS 8 Untethered Jailbreak Wins Saurik Seal of Approval as iPhone, iPad Unlocker Hits Mac Users
Cydia creator @saurik has given his seal of approval for the iOS 8 jailbreak that Chinese hacking team Pangu has released, saying in a tweet that the tool is "stable enough," for use by the jailbreak community.
It appears too that hardcore Apple fans can easily access the jailbreak as Pangu made true its promise to deploy its OS X version soon. According to 9to5Mac, "one-click jailbreak solution," is now available for everyone.
Previously, the devs from China had provided the jailbreak only in Windows platform with the system language limited in Mandarin. Now that the iOS 8 device unlocker is in Windows and Mac plus full English support, more jailbreak fans are expected to join the club.
Saurik's official endorsement
And @saurik giving his thumbs up for the untethered jailbreak will likely embolden millions of iPhone and iPad users to finally embrace the Pangu liberator.
In a report, MacRumors said that the current build of iOS 8 jailbreak is fully compatible with Cydia and therefore ready to use. Recall that when Pangu first issued the tool in October, Cydia was not bundled and jailbreakers had to install the app library manually.
Saurik also called on Cydia developers to label their tweaks and apps soon as iOS 8 JB-ready.
The publication also offered its forum for the updated list of Cydia-hosted applications that will work perfectly with Pangu's creation.
Now is the right time to jailbreak
Also, with the Pangu jailbreak gaining better stability, installing it became more tempting in light of the likelihood that Apple will soon rollout the iOS 8.1.1 update that will patch and fix the remaining issues in iOS 8.1.
However, it is expected too that the update will plug the holes being used by Pangu as exploits for its jailbreak, which prompted the dev group to warn jailbreaker not to install the upcoming Apple software update.
Most likely, the patch will lock out updaters from the jailbreaker tool and Pangu had advised that there might never be a rollback option.
To continue enjoying the jailbreak experience, fans are encouraged to at least opt for the iOS 8.1 bump up then skip 8.1.1 completely.
While Pangu is likely to tinker with iOS 8.1.1 as soon as it becomes official, there is no telling when the jailbreak edition after that will be made public so the safe thing to do is stick with the latest stable version.
