Paul Walker, the "Fast and Furious" star who tragically died from a car crash on Saturday in California, almost quit the "Fast and Furious 7" film, the Contactmusic.com report reveals. The 40-year-old actor had hesitations on the next movie project after director Justin Lin left the franchise, but replacement director James Wan convinced Mr Walker to be a part of the power cast.

"I was so scared, going in without Justin. I ran into J.J. Abrams at South by Southwest, and he was like, 'Hey, what's up man?' I said, 'They want us to go do another 'Fast & Furious', but my man, Justin, isn't coming back. I don't know if I want to do it.' He said, 'F**k, don't do it then.' I really was like, 'I don't know," Paul Walker admitted.

The actor further revealed that he was still contemplating on whether to continue in the film or not when producer Peter Safran, who did "The Conjuring" with James Wan, gave him a phone call. Paul shared: "So, when James was anointed as the new guy, Peter called me up and said, 'Dude, you're gonna love him. That guy's amazing!' Coming from Peter, that meant something. I really respect him."

Mr Walker added: "And then, it turned into a conversation with James over the phone, and I was like, 'This guy is so sweet. He's so nice.' My intuition is on point with people. I can read people." The actor even confirmed that a "Fast and Furious 8" will still be added in the movie franchise with loose plans to go further.

Paul Walker also talked about how he got along with his "Fast and Furious" co-stars. However, the actor confessed that he and Vin Diesel are poles apart in every way. "Vin and I are so east-coast-meets-west-coast and we have different approaches to life. We found a respect for one another but we were such opposite ends of the spectrum. The reason why it's worked is because we are so different," the actor explained in the RTE report.

On the other "Fast and Furious" cast members, Paul Walker claims Tyrese Gibson is like a big kid while Chris Bridges, also known as rapper Ludacris, is "one of the coolest people" that he ever knew. "He comes from a really solid family. He's an old soul and wise beyond his years," Paul shared.

The actor further revealed: "As for the girls, I legitimately love Jordana (Brewster). We met when we were little kids hanging out on the first one (Fast & the Furious) when she was 17 years old. Michelle (Rodriguez) and I, we've been through it all. Michelle's like the most original person on the planet. She's so straight up, uncensored all the time. Be ready. I love her for that."
