A month after its release on Xbox One and Xbox 360, PlayStation and PC owners will finally be able to dig into “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Ascendance.” The release of the “Ascendance DLC pack on April 30 in the U.S. and May 1 in Australia follows the release of the first pack, “Havoc,” and features new multiplayer maps, a new weapon, new Grapple playlist and the second part of the star-studded Exo Zombies story-based co-op mode.

As noted by IGN, the four new multiplayer maps include Perplex, Site 244, Climate and Chop Shop. Chop Shop is a medium-sized multiplayer map that sees gamers fighting for supremacy in and around a black market exoskeleton industrial site. Map-based scorestreaks can be activated that lets team members use a powerful Advanced Repulsion Turret against foes. Site 244 meanwhile, is a larger, three-lane map set around the crashed remains of a U.S. military spacecraft. Set in the shadow of Mt. Rushmore, gamers will be able to activate map-based score streaks when they break open an alien spore.

Set in Sydney, Perplex takes place in a five-storey modular apartment complex that encourages lots of vertical combat and opportunities for close-quarters engagement. During the match, construction drones will open up new routes through the map that require gamers to think quickly. The final map, climate takes place within a futuristic, man-made enclosure. Fighters will need to keep an eye open on the local river, as changes in flow can cause havoc at a moments notice.

In addition to the new maps, “Ascendance” will also feature the arrival of the OHM directed energy weapon, an LMG/Shotgun hybrid, as well as its OHM Werewolf Custom Variant. New Exo-Zombie types, new traps and survivor based gameplay will also be added to the Exo Zombies mode, which sees John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan and Jon Bernthal continue their escape from an overrun Atlas research facility.

The four heroes have barricaded themselves in a nearby fast-food joint called Burgertown, and must rely on their weapons, new traps and support allies to keep the zombie horde at bay. As noted by VG24/7, new zombie types and a new zombie mini-boss have been added to spice things up. “Ascension” will be available on April 30 in the U.S and May 1 in Australia, for the PC and PlayStation platforms.
