‘Pitch Perfect 3’ star Rebel Wilson hints back story for Fat Amy, shares weight loss secrets
“Pitch Perfect 3” star Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy) has shared that she has a lot of interesting ideas for the upcoming film. She has also hinted that the third film in franchise will reveal her character’s back story.
In an interview, Wilson has teased fans about what to expect from the upcoming film, including a possible back story of her character. She has also revealed that all the Barden Bellas are coming together to become a legit singing group outside college.
“I also think a Fat Amy origins story would be awesome,” Wilson told the Hollywood Reporter. In the same interview, she has also shared that she is a fan of “Glee” and that she would like to do something in which she plays a female rapper.
Aside from her origin story, there are also reports that Fat Amy will be walking down the aisle to marry her love, Bumper (Adam DeVine). For “Pitch Perfect 3” fans, it would be nice to see a character like Fat Amy find her own happiness.
The character has become the epitome of a bullied woman. But Fat Amy is not one who would allow name-calling to get to her. It’s safe to say that her strong character has captured the hearts of “Pitch Perfect” fans.
Fans of the Australian actress are definitely looking forward to see her in “Pitch Perfect 3.” And it seems that in the second movie, the actress who plays Fat Amy would not be so fat anymore as Wilson recently took to Instagram to share her sexier figure.
Along with a photo of her herself, Wilson has shared her weight loss secret. She shared that she lost eight pounds from marathon hiking over four days.
The 36-year-old actress went on to share that massages are part of her weight loss program. “Thanks to the amazing staff and masseuses (free daily massages are part of the program)! Feeling great,” she wrote on Instagram.
Aside from Wilson, it would also be interesting to see more of the other “Pitch Perfect 3” cast. Anna Kendrick (Beca), Hailee Steinfeld (Emily), Chrissie Fit (Flo), Kelly Jakle (Jessica) and Ester Dean (Cynthia Rose) will all be coming back to reprise their roles.
The film is under the direction of Trish Sie, with a script written by Kay Cannon and a draft from Mike White. It is produced by Gold Circle Entertainment’s Paul Brooks and Max Handelman and Elizabeth Banks of Brownstone Productions. "Pitch Perfect 3” is expected to hit Australian theatres on Dec. 22.
