Plants vs. Zombies 2: Tips and FAQs from PopCap; New Buys for Brainz [PHOTOS]
For those who have been long enjoying Plants vs. Zombies 2, you may have questions that you're just dying to have answered by the brains behind the game. PopCap has pooled all the questions from different gamers who have sent in their queries and supplied the answers as well as some hints and tips on how to get through baffling levels.
First off, there may be a few who are trying to transition from how Plants vs. Zombies as in the original game and how it is now, with all the new levels and plants.
In the PopCap blog, there have been questions regarding unlockables and plants that don't seem to work, as in the case of the Double Sunflower. In Plants vs. Zombies 2, the Twin Sunflower is already a plant of itself, which you can plant directly into any unoccupied area instead of replanting on an already planted Sunflower.
Another plant that has baffled some players is the Wall-nut First Aid, which according to PopCap, is actually not a plant but more of a function. This means that once you have this upgrade, you can simply use it by planting a new Wall-nut or Tall-nut in a square with a partially-devoured Wall-nut or Tall-nut to avoid waiting for longer loading times.
PopCap has also been very generous when it comes to letting players in on some great strategies, especially for those who are stuck in the "Don't spend any sun for 30 seconds" stage.
What some players may fail to realize that the simplest strategy for the easiest 30-second challenge will fail once the time goes up to 60 then 90--but only if you keep trying to use up those times at the start of the level.
The trick here is to find that one time wherein you can spend the entire 30 or 60 or even 90 seconds when you will stop using Suns so you can pass the level. Just make sure you have enough Grave Busters, Iceberg Lettuce, Plant Food, and Power Ups, which you can use during this time.
