The "Pokemon X and Y" and Nintendo 2DS bundles for South Korea are now available. Finally, Koreans can enjoy playing the latest Pokemon game using the new Nintendo 2DS game console. Other countries have Nintendo 3DS XL bundles.

The "Pokemon X and Y" and Nintendo 2DS bundles for South Korea consists of a red and white 2DS game console included in the "Pokemon X" package and a blue and black 2DS game console included in the "Pokemon Y" package.

Aside from the Pokemon games and the game consoles, other accessories included in the box are:

  • Nintendo 2DS stylus (inserted into the stylus holder of the system)
  • SDHC Card (inserted into the SD Card slot of the system)
  • Nintendo 3DS AC adapter
  • AR Cards

Both bundles will be available in South Korea on Dec. 7, 2013. It costs 180,000 won ($170). If sold separately, the Nintendo 2DS will cost 160,000 won ($151) and the "Pokemon X" or "Pokemon Y" games each cost 44,000 won ($42).

The Nintendo 2DS system is part of the Nintendo 3DS family. It has wireless connectivity for co-op and multiplayer play and is compatible with Nintendo 3DS and most DS games, including "Super Mario," "The Legend of Zelda," "Mario Kart," "Mario & Luigi: Dream Team," and "Animal Crossing: New Leaf."

It has all the features of the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL. The main difference is that the Nintendo 2DS game console doesn't have 3D viewing. But, due to this, it is more affordable than the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL systems.

It can also be used to access the Nintendo eShop where free demos, digital games and special offers are available.

Plus, parents can have some peace of mind knowing that they can regulate and manage the games that their kids will play in the Nintendo 2DS as well as other content in the system because it offers parental controls.
