The Pokemon X & Y game has just revealed details on the new Pokemon Bank app, including storage boxes, storage capacity, payment details, how to use it and its release date.

According to Nintendo, the Pokemon Bank app will finally be available to fans on December 27, 2013. This app will be able to let fans transfer their old monsters, especially the ones who have reached high levels, into the new games.

Even if a lot of fans are excited about this feature of the new Pokemon X & Y game, they can't help but be disappointed because they have to wait until December to use it.

The Pokemon Bank Details:

PROS:

1. Can be downloaded from the 3DS eshop = FREE

2. Allows players to view and sort all captured monsters previously stored in the game

3. Allows users to upload captured monsters to the Internet in Nintendo's cloud storage system

4. Can store up to 3,000 Pokemon across 100 cloud-saved boxes

5. Uploaded Pokemon can be re-downloaded at any time

6. Free 30-day trial for users who try the game before Feb. 1, 2004

CONS:

1. Users must pay for $4.99 yearly for this service (after using up the 30-day free trial)

2. Cannot be used without connecting to the Internet

HOW TO USE THE POKEMON BANK:

1. Download Pokemon Bank on Nintendo 3DS

2. Insert the Pokemon X or Pokemon Y Game Card

3. Open the Pokemon Bank app in the menu

It's still not clear what will happen to the stored monsters in the Pokemon Bank if ever payment gets delayed or if a player fails to make any payment at all. So, stay tuned for updates from Nintendo.

Aside from the Pokemon Bank, there's also another app called the Poke Transporter. This one's free but it can't work without the Pokemon Bank, so basically you really have to pay the $4.99 fee for the Pokemon Bank app. As its name suggests, it transports old Pokemon characters from the old Pokemon games, like Pokemon Black & White or Black 2 & White 2 to the Pokemon X & Y games.
