Kate Middleton’s second pregnancy has been the subject of many speculations as of late, especially on the gender and due date of her baby. There have been reports of the Duchess of Cambridge giving birth late or early April and the baby being a girl. While the gender of the baby remains unknown, the Duchess recently revealed when she’s due to give birth.

The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly revealed her second baby’s due date during a visit to Brookhill Children’s Centre in Woolwich on March 17. According to E Online, Kate Middleton told volunteers at the centre over coffee breakfast after one volunteer, Christie Osborne, praised the Duchess for her beauty. "I told her she is beautiful and that she's got a tiny little bump," Osborne said. The 49-year old volunteer asked Kate when she’s due to give birth, to which the Duchess replied, “mid-to-end of April."

Kate Middleton did not actually reveal an exact due date for her second baby. The Palace had previously also confirmed an April birth month. However, The Telegraph claimed there’s a possibility the Duchess of Cambridge will give birth on April 20. It’s believed Kate was already 12 weeks into her second pregnancy when Kensington Palace had announced the baby’s birth month on Oct. 20, 2014.

Another clue that reportedly proves her second baby is not due early April is her continuous public appearances. Kate Middleton was seen handing out shamrocks to military personnel on March 17 during St. Patrick’s Day, and according to writer Gordon Rayner, the Palace may even still schedule her for another engagement after March 18.

Paul Cummins, lead artist of the poppy installation at the London Tower, also suspected that the Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth mid-April. According to Mirror UK, he told The Sunday Times that Kate Middleton was probably already even pregnant when she toured the poppy installation on August 5. By then Kate was reportedly already feeling severe morning sickness, although the Palace had announced her second pregnancy on September 8.

If Kate Middleton is not due to give birth in April then it’s supposedly still possible for the Duchess of Cambridge to deliver her second baby on May 7. “A delay of two weeks after the due date is not uncommon and would not be any cause for concern,” Rayner said.
