Prince Harry Brought Tears To Mum Of Deceased Child With A Touching Condolence Letter
Prince Harry’s letter to the parents of the deceased Carson Hartley was apparently so touching that it brought the mother, Kirsty Hartley, to tears. The royal sent a condolence letter to the family where he recalled his meeting with the five year old back in 2014.
According to Hello Magazine, Prince Harry penned a touching tribute to Carson Hartley after learning of his death at the beginning of June. Carson Hartley’s mum, Kirsty, revealed she was so touched by the prince’s gesture that she actually shed tears after reading the letter. ”My heart burst with pride, I cried, it was so bittersweet but just reflects exactly what we thought of Harry when we met him," she said.
The condolence letter was addressed to the young boy’s parents, Kirsty and Damian. In it Harry expressed his sorrow and recalled how Carson had made an impression on him when they first met at WellChild awards last year. According to Huffington Post, Prince Harry remembered Carson Hartley’s “tremendous spirit” and courage to smile despite his illness. "I was so very sad to hear the tragic news," wrote the prince.
Prince Harry recalled how Carson Hartley had “showed so much happiness with such a positive outlook despite the challenges he faced.” The 30-year-old also praised the 5-year-old for his warm smile and hugs and remembered how Carson was such “a wonderful young boy.”
“I am delighted to have had the chance to meet him,” he wrote. Prince Harry ended his letter with a heartfelt message of sympathy, writing, “I wanted to let you know how sorry I am to hear of your loss and pass to you my heartfelt condolences.”
Kirsty Hartley also had some nice words to say about Prince Harry. Speaking to Liverpool Echo, the mum though the prince is being so nice and genuine with how he took an interest in their son, Carson. The mum couldn't believe that the royal still remembered Carson since their meeting in September.
Prince Harry reportedly met Carson Hartley when he attended the WellChild awards in London last year as royal patron of the children’s charity. He met the deceased when he presented him with the “Inspirational Child” award. Hello Magazine shared a photo of the young boy with the prince during the said event, where they were snapped hugging each other. Another photo shows Prince Harry talking to Carson with his parents.
