Sony seems to be going beyond the next-gen console wars and even the virtual reality device creation and stepping into another potential project, if the latest patent is anything to go by.

It seems that the DualShock 4 won't be the only controller to grace the PS4, in case this new contraption of a device comes to fruition. The Sixth Axis spotted a patent that details a controller that's a cross between the DualShock 4 and the PlayStation Move.

The controller, aside from being an assemble-your-own device, makes use of the camera to read the movements. The link above has the pictures from the patent, where you can see the connected parts of the new controller.

"A block tool, which can be assembled by a user, is configured with multiple types of blocks and is shot by a camera for capturing a still image or a moving image. The position coordinates of a marker of the square-pillar in a three-dimensional space are obtained by image recognition," said the patent as quoted by The Sixth Axis.

In a report from IGN, the developer has announced that the Resogun DLC is already in the drawing board, but besides that, fans can also look forward to another PS4 project.

"At the moment we are working on Resogun DLC and another project," said the Housemarque in response to a fan query.

Resogun has been one of the successful games to debut on the PS4, entering the scene as the supposed spiritual successor to the Stardust series. It packs a shooter game that also boasts of strategy, co-op, and a unique gameplay that's been tailored for the experience.

Price cuts scheduled for February?

Now that the demand for the next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One are continuing to gain traction, it seems that a price cut for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 may be in the cards, according to industry analyst from Wedbush Morgan Michael Pachter.

VG 24/7 reports that Pachter has predicted that the price cut for the two older consoles may come as early as February. This may reportedly be the result of publishers pressuring the format holders to reduce the prices of the older-gen units.

Pachter has even analysed a few more details, such as a $199 price cut for both Microsoft and Sony without losing as much money. The next target that Pachter has in mind for the potential buyers of the Xbox 360 and PS3 would be the Wii owners who may jump at the chance of a lower priced console.
