[UPDATE: EV Tracker for Android, Trainer kits, XY TCGs--there's a lot more to Pokemon X and Y than waiting for the Pokemon Bank.]

Whether it's out of creativity, love for the franchise, or the fact that Pokemon X and Y can't go any further until the Pokemon Bank gets released, fans have been creating more and more games that are proving to be great extensions for those who want to experience more Pokemon gaming.

Redditor th3shark has created a new Pokemon fan-made game called Pokemon Evoas. According to the creator, the game was made from scratch, which allowed for an entirely unique experience. These include new animations for the Evoas, custom animations for attacking, new moves in the 2v2 battle, and even the second learned ability.

Other mechanics of the game include allowing the number of Pokemon moves learned to be dependent on the specie.

What's also notable is that, despite taking inspiration from the Pokemon games, Evoas has a different story line, where you are on a mission to reclaim your old Pokemon team and stopping Meloetta, the villain in the game.

There's also a brink mode that lets your Pokemon get back up again to fight after fainting in a battle against an infected trainer. A couple of screenshots have been provided in this Imgur link, for those interested to play it.

"Pokemon Evoas is a unique reinterpretation of the classic pokemon formula, with a new battle system, overworld, and other various tweaks to make the game feel more refreshing," said the creator.

Note that the game is free for fans to try out. Check out the Reddit thread, which provides a 30-minute preview of the game.

Damage calculator for Pokemon Showdown available

The Pokemon X and Y online battling community is a thriving one, and though the Pokemon Bank is not yet available, there are still a number of ways to enjoy the game while waiting.

A neat find online is the SweeperCalc, which is pretty much a damage calculator to see how much damage you can take from and inflict on your opponents in online competitive battles.

Basically, you can import your team and select Common Sets so you can get predictions for what moves your opponents will make given that set.

The SweeperCalc is also a good tool for those who want to build a team that is not covered by bReakMyTeam. The latter tool is one that lets you see what kind of counters and sweepers can undo your team, so it's a pretty neat way to strengthen your Pokemon X and Y team and make them even more viable for online battles.

Another aspect of this service is WallMyTeam, which will provide the opposing Pokemon that can best wall all of your Pokemon. SweeperCalc features good and clean visuals, and it is easy enough to use. All of the details are labeled, so you only need to fill in the blanks and play around the commands to come up with a pretty walled and attack-proofed team.
