Following the delay of "Driveclub," another PS4 exclusive will be seeing a few more months in the drawing board, as developer Ready at Dawn has announced that "The Order: 1886" will be delayed into 2015.

The title, which is the developer's take on London during the Victorian era and the Knights of the Round Table, has been showcased in a couple of glimpses with previous trailers and sneak peeks. And from what has been revealed, the gameplay has been seamlessly meshed with the cinematic cut-scenes.

"We just pored over the history of the era. Maps, layout of London. We went to London with 20 people, location scouting and shooting extensive amounts of photos," said Nathan Phail-Liff, Ready at Dawn art director in the latest trailer of 'The Order: 1886.' "We pored over period costumes and did photo shoots not only capturing all the intricate details of the costumes but also how people moved in them.

As seen in the trailer above, each costume in "The Order: 1886" features so much detail in one go, and most of them have been referenced from history.

"As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game," said Ru Weerasuriya, CEO and creative director at Ready at Dawn Studios, via the PlayStation Blog Europe. "As such, you can expect 'The Order: 1886" to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015."

Still, the developer has promised that "The Order: 1886" won't miss out on the E3 2014 just because its release date has been pushed back.

Box Art of "The Order: 1886" and the promised 30FPS Run

Even before, the developer has already made clear that "The Order: 1886," though mean for next-gen console PS4, will be running at 30fps to make sure that the cinematic experience is something worth enjoying.

In a recent interview, "The Order: 1886" director Dana Jan has elaborated on just what will make the 30 fps/60fps difference for the title work to their favor.

"We're going for this filmic look, so one thing that we knew immediately was films run at 24fps. We're gonna run at 30 because 24 fps does not feel good to play," said Jan in an interview quoted by GameSpot. "So there's one concession in terms of making it aesthetically pleasing, because it just has to feel good to play."

Jan likens it to the difference between the textures in cinematic appeal as opposed to seeing the game run in 60fps, only for it to look like a documentary instead. After all, it is a gritty London featured in "The Order: 1886."

In any case, it seems that the graphics may not be as far off compared to "Watch Dogs," which has just seen release and is currently being enjoyed by quite a number of fans. DualShockers note that "The Order: 1886" may be using temporal anti-aliasing to reduce the possible flickering as seen when objects onscreen move at a fast pace.

E3 2014 still seems to be a very viable event where more details about "The Order: 1886" will be revealed. For now, here is a snapshot of the box art of the game, courtesy of PS4fans.net.
