Last-minute gift shoppers would be happy to know that at least two retailers will be catering to orders of the PS4 before Christmas officially hits.

There has been news that Christmas stocks for the PS4 will hit, and this can be seen in the new bundles that have appeared at GAME UK's Web site. At the time of writing, there are currently two bundles available for the PS4. The first is a PS4 bundle with six games, a PS Plus for 12 months and two Blu-Ray DVDs for "Despicable Me 2" and "Man of Steel" at £699.99.

Another bundle features the PS4 with "Knack," "Killzone Shadow Fall" and "Need for Speed" games, the PS Plus 12-month membership and the two mentioned Blu-Ray DVDs above. This bundle costs £559.99. Check out the link above to order these bundles.

Also, Amazon is bringing back a few of its bundles, though this time only available through third-party sellers. In particular, there are four bundles that buyers can choose from. There's the "Battlefield 4" and PS Plus Launch bundle and the "Killzone" and PS Plus Launch bundle, which both start at $711.99 and $741.99. The "Knack" launch bundle is available at $694.99, while the PlayStation 4 bundle is available at $599.99.

Sony's VR Headset Already Dated for Debut?

There has been talk that Sony is developing a competitor for the Oculus Rift, which comes in the form of its very own virtual reality head-mounted display, which is expected to cater to the likes of the PS4.

And while Sony's VR project has been in the works for quite a while, even putting forth rumours of a revived and remodeled PlayStation Move device, there have also been talk about the possibility of a debut of Sony's VR display sometime soon.

While no confirmation has been given, the latest speculation is that it would appear at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014, reports WCCF Tech. This supports the timing when it was announce that Sony was very close to disclosing information about the device.

This is also a good opportunity for Sony to amplify its focus on gaming for 2014, given that this would be the driving force behind the PS4 for the coming year. In addition, the report reiterates that Sony already has enough experience with working on head-mounted displays. If it does release its own VR display, it may be a big step for the PS4, ahead of the Xbox One in next-gen gaming.

New Game from Sony London

Speaking of innovation for the PS4, the Sony VR head-mounted display is not the only thing that's expected to push the next-gen gaming forward even more, as Sony London is now reported to churn out a new IP that will bring a new PS4 experience to the table.

PlayStation Lifestyle has spotted a job listing for Sony, which describes the project as a "very high-profile" one. But this seems to be the farthest that the project has been to, as no details are ready for the public as of the moment.

In the same vein, other studios that are concerned with bringing more realistic games to the PS4 are also already hard at work. DualShockers reports that the likes of Naughty Dog are already onto a new "Uncharted" title, while Guerilla Games is also doing work on a new unannounced IP.

What those studios have in common, however, is the realistic aspect of the characters in the upcoming games. The report states that the projects will be making use of blend shapes that allow for the illusion of shape changing in a more realistic and seamless manner.
