PS4 and PS3 Players to get ‘LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Free Phantom Limb DLC

“LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is getting a new DLC exclusively for PS4 and PS3 players. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that The Phantom Limb Level Pack will be available for free for the PS4 and PS3 players.

Announced in a press release, The Phantom Limb Level Pack will extend the “LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens” universe as it takes off from Trouble Over Taul Level. As the Level Pack suggests the additional content will showcase the events that led to why C-3PO has a red arm in “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.”

The free pack will also contain the actual level, C-3PO (Taul), 2MED2, CO-34, GNK-189, MSE-Y, O-MRI (Taul), PZ-99 (Taul), VL-44 (Taul), a full-sized vehicle CR90 Corvette and a microfighter CR90 Corvette vehicle.

T Games Game Director Jamie Eden gives the lowdown on the new characters that C-RPO finds himself with after crash-landing on Taul with its alien creatures hungry for droids. Over at the PlayStation Blog, Eden stated that the droid survivors with C-3PO are the oddball bunch that will aid him in the level.

PZ-99 is a security droid that protects non-combat personnel. VL-44 is a similar robot though his function is to destroy gold LEGO bricks and battle against the Taul aliens. CO-34 is the heavy lifter as a construction droid. The other droids also have their own respective roles: MSE-Y is a repair droid, GNK-189 is a power droid and 2MED2 is a medical droid.

There’s also an extra bonus of O-MRI, who not only shows as a pivotal character, but also features Simon Pegg’s voice.

The “LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens” The Phantom Limb level pack is already out now. The Droid Character Pack DLC is also a way to extend the adventure. Both packs are currently an exclusive to the PS4 and PS3 platforms.
