Australia won't see the PS4 until February?
Despite the news on stock spotting, it seems that Australian gamers who had put off ordering the PS4 may no longer see their console delivered until after February. This statement already came directly from Sony's Michael Ephraim, who had admitted that Sony was voverwhelmed with the demand or their next-gen console and that they are still in the stage of fulfilling the preorders already filed way before.
According to News.com, the only ones who will be able to receive their orders before Christmas rolls in are those who had ordered their PS4 before August. For those who were able to buy before Christmas season can still expect their consoles, but it can arrive sometime between Christmas and February.
*The patch for Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts has already been released. Check out the patch notes here.
"If you pre-ordered before Christmas, give the person you're giving the gift to an IOU and you will be able to get them a console in February,'" said Ephraim.
Still, this may be expected, given how Sony rose through the charts with 2.1 million sales for the PS4. Hopefully the lack of supply will not turn off long-time followers of the franchise.
Proof of Gaikai at work?
Just recently, Gaikai, the PS4's future cloud service, has been reported to have a release date come 2014.
Now it seems that Sony is already preparing for that date, as a cloud gaming service was spotted by Twinfinite. A screenshot of a "Cloud Gaming Test" icon has been leaked by the web site from an anonymous source.

The immediate reaction is to link this new find with the Gaikai service, as that is Sony's known cloud service to date. More proof of this, according to the source, is that other reports have quoted Andrew House, SCE president, that they are taking Gaikai at a gradual pace, to ensure that the product will be most beneficial to the gamers.
So if this can be considered a beta testing, then all the more is Gaikai becoming a reality-and one which, hopefully, will not have as many issues at launch to ensure a more seamless experience for PS4 gamers.
