Xbox One Sets Records in Australia; Free Xbox One for Scammed UK Student; and Peggle 2 Now Out
Australia seems to love its Xbox One, as Microsoft was able to break records down under with its next-gen console. However, it seems that part of this can also be accounted for by the fact that Sony cannot ship enough PS4 consoles in time for the release and for the fulfillment of preorders.

The statistics are cited by AFR, which state that 65,917 units of Xbox One consoles were shipped and sold in Australia in the first three days alone, overtaking Nintendo's previous record.
The Xbox One's sales was also helped by the fact that Australia was one of the first to get the console among the 13 countries that it has launched on, last November 22. For the meantime, both consoles are continuing to meet unprecedented demands, which are slated to exceed those from the previous console generation.

eBay's bad prank for UK teenager resolved with a free Xbox One
Adding another bad notch to the name of eBay was the latest scam incident that had duped a UK teenager from getting an Xbox One console. After coughing up £450 (AUD$800) for an Xbox One, Peter Clatworthy had received a picture of an Xbox One as his purchase instead.
IGN reports that, while the Clatworthy is said to receive a refund due to the incident, a new development has found him with a free Xbox One care of CeX, a UK retailer. This is a great bit of news after what must have been a very stressful and disappointing moment for the student.
*Speaking of bad pranks, there's one circulating about an Xbox One backwards compatibility trick, which can actually brick your console: Read the details here.
While scams in eBay have not been far and few, this takes the cake for being literal and nasty. Clatworthy had reportedly admitted that the description in the listing had stated a "photo" of the Xbox One; but obviously, doling out £450 should mean getting the actual Xbox One console.
For those who are worried about their next purchase via eBay, eBay does have a policy against malicious sellers like these, so action against the scammer is potentially underway.

*Microtransactions for Gran Turismo 6 have been revealed. What do you think of the new system?
"The trick is to create an experience that's easy to pick up and play but very difficult to master. If someone plays the game for a few minutes, they should be able to have an absolute blast. If they spend a bit more time digging in, though we want them to have that 'a-ha!' moment where they uncover layers of strategy that they weren't aware of before," said Neuss to Major Nelson.
