Nvidia partners with Ubisoft for better PC experience
Most people have been looking forward to the PS4 and the Xbox One, with most devices taking a backseat even at Gamescom.
However, one company seems to be aiming for more than just an afterthought in the gaming industry. Nvidia has recently announced its collaboration with Ubisoft, in an attempt to deliver more with its handheld, the Nvidia Shield.
Reported by VG 24/7, the collaboration will ensure that titles like Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist will become more immersive and deliver a more spectacular gaming experience.
Nvidia has recently released its handheld, Nvidia Shield, which has surpassed expectations, and is now slowly creating a name for itself. But one of the biggest criticisms about the device is its lack of games.
Given the new collaboration with Ubisoft, this may be the first step to ensuring that the Nvidia Shield is not just left with only access to Android games, but also exclusive ones that can come from the partnership.
For the meantime, the report states that smoother frame rates and better gaming technologies may come from this partnership, which can put the PC on a better level to push the notch in gaming even higher level.
Assassin's Creed 4 show off Gamescom trailer
Ubisoft's upcoming stealth game, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, shows off a lot of the gameplay in the Gamescom trailer.
You can see the richness of the environment and the detailed graphics, as well as what the game is all about--kills, combats, and preying.
Apart from the trailer revealing some aspects of the game, NowGamer adds that the developer has revealed that, on average, the game will take around 20 hours to accomplish.
'"It's actually quite a bit longer than other Assassin's Creeds have been because the naval stuff gives a very different pace to the game, a very different feeling to the way exploration works," said Darby McDevitt, lead writer, to Now Gamer.
Aside from the main story, the fourth installment also gives you a present day story, wherein you get to be part of Abstergo, and infuse stealth with a more modern twist.
"It's got a lot of extra content for those people who like the present day and will really be rewarding for peopelwhbo like the present day story, but it's not too burdensome for people who just want to do the pirate game."
