Korean YouTube sensation Psy announced over the video sharing site the worldwide release of his new album on April 13 through a concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Fans could watch the concert's live streaming via YouTube.

The concert, titled Happening, seeks to divert the attention that Harlem Shakers gained in early 2013 as has so far attracted more than 4 million YouTube views.

Psy said he would do the Gangnam Shake, in reference to the growing popularity of the Harlem Shake dance whose How to do the Harlem Shake video got an even bigger 11.7 million hits.

That, however, is miniscule compared to the Gangnam Style official video which has generated so far over 1.4 billion hits on YouTube that even Psy admits it would difficult for his future albums to top the success of his monster hit.

The new album will feature a mix of Korean and English songs, while the new dance has to do something with sports, Allkpop reported.

Psy's success has led other artists to video their own version of Gangnam style that generated 7-digit hits. One young Korean artist named Hwang Min-Woo, more known as Little Psy because he appeared on Psy's viral hit, is set to launch his own album titled Showtime.

"I am a huge fan of Little Psy that I rushed over from school just to catch his performance. He is so talented and his dance moves are so energetic that I want to get up and dance as well," Asia One quoted a 21-year-old student who watched Little Psy's debt in Singapore at the LG G Café pop-up store.

Even American politicians are horsing around to Gangnam Style to court votes. One such politician is Rob McKenna, the Republican gubernatorial candidate for Washington state, who danced it at a Korean Day party.

However, his 12-year-old son Connor was so embarrassed and made a private video asking his dad and mother, Marilyn McKenna, not to do it in public again. Connor even offered $10 to his mother just so he would not be embarrassed again by their dance attempts.

Doing so is "the only way I could ever show my face at school again," said Connor.

His sibling shared his sentiments and said that their parent's viral video "takes parental embarrassment to a whole new level."
