With all indications of breaking another YouTube record, Psy's newest single, Gentleman, would likely spawn many parodies and a number of celebrities would likely dance the horse trot, similar to what happened to the South Korean K-pop artist's first megahit, Gangnam Style.

Just two days after its release, a check with YouTube showed that there are at least 8 parodies of Gentleman with decent number of views.

Here are the 8 parodies and their corresponding hits

1. Official Music Video Parody - 34,000+ hits

2. Canadian Version - 17,000+ hits

3. Gentleman M/V Parody - 11,000+ hits

4. Parody Gentleman Psy - 5,000+ hits

5. Gentleman Dance Parody - 4,000+ hits

6. Parody by Nerdy Man - 1,000+ hits

7. Buzz Lightyear Gentleman - 700+ hits

8. Cosplay Parody Video - 400+ hits

The Piano/Keyboard Cover version is getting more hits with the last count at 180,000+.

If you think you had enough versions of Gentleman, think again. New parodies are being added in YouTube by the minute as Psy-wannabes upload the videos in the hope of the 35-year-old singer's fame and fortune rubbing on them.

These wannabes are probably hoping to duplicate the success of some of Gangnam Style imitators whose version hit also millions of views such as that by Sponge Bob with 7.2 million hits

the Deadpool version with 50.9 million hits

or the Obama version with 8.7 million hits.

All these copycats only prove the saying the imitation is the best form of flattery.
