‘Rainbow Six Siege’ open-beta delayed; Ubisoft assures issue will not affect game’s full launch next week
Ubisoft’s upcoming tactical team-based shooter “Rainbow Six Siege” was due for an open beta test on Nov. 25 but it was later cancelled. The delay was announced only an hour before the promised release and fans were distraught with the news. Ubisoft just released a statement regarding the issue and notes that the delay will be worth the wait.
The community manager of Ubisoft’s forum Jax, once again took to the forums to release a statement regarding the delay of “Rainbow Six Siege.” This time around, Jax addressed any concerns the players may have after the recent delay of the open beta.
Jax has assured fans that “Rainbow Six: Siege” will launch the beta without a hitch next week. The open beta of the game is currently facing matchmaking issues but Ubisoft is already looking for a solution.
"This open beta will ensure the cleanest launch possible," community manager Jax posted. He added, "keep in mind that this beta is intended for this exact reason: find problems and troubleshoot them to ensure the most stable launch possible.”
Jax also updated the fans on the progress of the issue saying that the root of the problem has already been determined thus bringing them one step closer to fixing it. For now, Ubisoft is doing a fix on the beta and it is currently being tested. Hopefully, the test will be launched within a few hours. All platforms in which “Rainbow Six Siege” is available will be undergoing fixes. Players should check the forum from time to time for updates.
If all goes well, “Rainbow Six Siege” could be a successful game when it fully launches on Dec. 1 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Ubisoft is exerting a lot of effort in providing an excellent game and it has even announced a year’s worth of free content, Eurogamer reports.
