Razer Power Bank specs, price and release details

American gaming specialist Razer just launched the Razer Power Bank smart charge accessory. The Razer Power Bank essentially works with the 12.5-inch Razer Blade Stealth. With the new accessory, the Ultrabook laptop’s battery life can be extended from 6 hours for up to 15 hours.

Other USB-C powered laptops can also take advantage of the new Razer Power Bank. It comes with two USB-A ports and one USB-C port, allowing users to charge up to three mobile devices at the same time. Packing 12,800 mAh of battery power inside its CNC-precise aluminium case and weighing just 0.74 pounds (335 grams), the Razer Power Bank is potent and portable.

“Lightweight and durable, the Razer Power Bank is designed to give you all the power you need when you’re on the move,” says Razer. “Its sleek form factor fits easily into your bag or even your back pocket, so you will always have access to power, regardless of where you are.”

The Razer Power Bank makes use of “intelligent device charging” which instantly detects the type of device that is plugged in. The power bank also has Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support to provide charging speeds up to four times faster than normal.

“High-performance mobile laptops like the Razer Blade Stealth are more a part of daily life than ever before, and keeping them charged and ready is a high priority,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “The Razer Power Bank enables true mobility for users who can now quickly and smartly charge their laptop, phone and tablet at the same time when an outlet isn’t an option.”

The Razer Power Bank is set for a March release and is going to be exclusively available at Razer’s official online store. It can be purchased in the US for US$149.99, in the UK for £144.99, and in Germany and France for €169.99.

The Razer Power Bank will also be available in Canada, but specific pricing under the country’s currency is unavailable as of this writing. Australian pricing and availability have yet to be announced as well.
