Razer Project Valerie launch details: The world's first triple display laptop is a sight to behold [VIDEO]
The new year has started off rather well for the gaming community. On Thursday, Acer unleashed the enormous Predator 21 X, the world’s first gaming laptop to feature a 21-inch curved display. Now it’s Razer’s turn as it lets loose its own three-headed gaming monster called Project Valerie, the first and only laptop in the world to equip three fully automated displays.
Razer has made quite a name for itself in the gaming industry with its quality heavy-duty accessories and premium Blade laptops. The American electronics company has apparently outdone itself yet again with its new invention: the ground-breaking Project Valerie. The powerful yet portable gaming marvel furnishes three 17.3-inch 4K IGZO displays with a remarkable 11,520 x 2,160 resolution and delivers the most expansive viewing experience in a notebook.

Project Valerie is powered by an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with Nvidia G-Sync and Nvidia Surround View native support. Just like the Razer Blade Pro, the Project Valerie is VR-ready and surpasses the virtual reality requirements necessary to accommodate the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift headsets.
With the kind of flexibility that the Project Valerie’s 12K multi-display system can offer, Razer intends to satisfy not only gamers, but creative minds as well. The two additional displays are able to pop out from either side of the main monitor and lock into place without the need for manual adjustments. The three monitors are wired internally for a tangle-free and hassle-free immersion.
To further justify its electronic Hydra’s mobility, Razer says that the Project Valerie is as thin as other same-sized regular laptops at 1.5 inches. It weighs about 12 pounds (5.44 pounds), making it manageably bulky. In comparison, the new Acer Predator 21 X is five pounds heavier.
There’s no official word yet on the pricing and availability of the Razer Project Valerie. The laptop is still in prototype status but the company is expected to dish out additional information about its new creation in the coming days.
