Reddit User Claims Assassin's Creed IV Can Run at 120 FPS using NVIDIA's 3DVision
Ubisoft's newest version of the "Assassin's Creed" series, "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" can be considered as one of the best looking games around. Gamers and critics have commended the game for its visual appeal and its strong fan base. Whereas there are graphics and performance guides around, there are also users expressing a better 3-D approach to the game. After all, what's more better than a good looking game in true 3-D experience?
It was reported that a user in Reddit named PcChip posted how the "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" can run possibly at 120 FPS. According to the user, if gamers want to accomplish the 120 FPS for the "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," they must turn off 3D while on NVIDIA's 3DVision. Turning off the 3-D will speed up "Assassin's Creed IV." This allows players to go through the game as smooth as possible.
PcChip also noted that when he removes the glasses, the game becomes blurry. The main reason is that NVIDIA is using Active 3-D. The user's statement is as follows:
"When testing out AC4:BF with 3DVision, after I disabled 3D (with CTRL+T), I noticed it was *amazingly* smooth... too smooth...
I took the glassess off my eyes and the familiar double-image blur effect was back (the one that is present by the method of forcing 60fps that the developers chose)
I put the glasses back on... and noticed they were still shuttering even though 3D was disabled, and the blur was GONE!
My fps counter still only shows 60FPS, but that's 60 frames per second, PER EYE.
It's a smooth 120fps!
Of course, there's no way I can say if this will work for you, but it's sure working for me!"
Some sources remain skeptic whether 60 FPS for each should be a good idea. NVIDIA previously claimed that 3DVision support 120 FPS will be available to 2-D games.
