Twilight lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have reportedly been CONFIRMED splitting up and what could surprise millions of tween fans - - the “immortal lovers” were not together on Rob’s birthday - - thus when they began to fall apart.

It has been confirmed that Robert and Kristen have split up. The couple has not been together since they were last seen with big smiles on their faces as they were leaving New York on May 8, 2013.

The signs were clear that things are not okay with the Tween couple.

InTouch Weekly: “It’s official: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have split.”

Huffington Post: “Us Weekly is also reporting the split, with Pattinson insiders claiming the couple had been "having problems" and "fighting a lot."

People Magazine: “A major sign pointing to the demise of their romance was the absence of Stewart, 23, on May 13, the date of Pattinson's 27th birthday.”

Huffington Post: “And though the pair were seen holding hands at Coachella just last month, new reports suggest that the "Twilight" co-stars are taking a break from their real-life romance.”

A source reveals that the couple are leading separate lives indeed, prior to the reported second split.

"They again went from spending every second together, to spending more time apart at their separate houses," a source was quoted as telling PEOPLE. "Kristen has been in a terrible mood, and it was obvious that things were not great with Rob."

The source noted that it was “very strange that they didn't celebrate Rob's birthday together," adding, "He had friends over at his house, but Kristen was not part of the celebration. For the past few days, they have not spent any time together."

“They’re on a break,” an insider close to the couple tells In Touch. “They had a blowout fight last week and called it quits a few days ago.”

This is the second time that Robert and Kristen have split, though the latest fall-out is likely to take longer than the first. They first separated in July 2012 when Robert decided to move out of the lovenest they shared together. Things fell apart between them with K-Stew’s “momentary indiscretion” with Rupert Sanders.

Love prevailed and Robert found a way to forgive Kristen and they were again spotted making out for the first time in months in October 2012. They have been inseparable since then, even attending premieres for the final installment of the Twilight series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

They were apart for three months again when Robert flew Down Under to film The Rover in Australia. A loved-up Robsten Romance greeted tween fans in many photos they were snapped together since March 2013. They have been like your ordinary couple until things didn’t fall into place on Rob’s birthday. No details have been given as to why the couple have called it quits again, this time. Crtics and fans believe that it would not be a surprise to see them together again in days or weeks to come.
