Retail stores to have better Black Friday deals for Apple devices than Apple Store
It’s unlikely Apple will offer discounts for its current generation devices
This year's Black Friday sale is fast approaching and consumers are trying to determine where to find the best deals. Contrary to popular belief, it would appear the Apple Store isn’t actually the best place to get massive discounts.
Bargain hunters at Ultimate Coupons are convinced the best websites for amazing Black Friday 2015 deals are national retailers such as Best Buy, Target and others. These websites will reportedly have much better prices than the prices attached to the products listed on the Apple Store.
During last year's Black Friday season, Apple offered product bundles with iTunes gift cards that ranged from $35 to $141. It must be noted, however, that Target's deal was much better, offering gift cards of up to $197. Best Buy also had massive discounts for various iPad, iPhone and MacBook models, according to Palm Beach Post Malled Blog.
In addition to Best Buy and Target, other retailers to watch out for are Walmart, Costco and Sam's Club. Similar gift card deals up to $211 and discounts of up to $141 are expected from them.
Avid Black Friday shoppers are well aware the best discounts will be on Apple's previous generation products. That said, the iPad Mini 4 is expected to get a discount of up to $141, as well as a $211 price cut for the iPad Air 2.
Considering it’s highly unlikely for Apple to offer any price markdowns for its current generation devices, consumers aren’t advised to get their hopes up for any great deals for the newest iPhone models and the iPad Pro.
It must be noted, though, that Apple could gift consumers with a discount for the new $211 Apple TV. The discount, however, isn’t expected to be more than $28 to $56.
Outside of the Black Friday sale, the best deals for Apple devices are on refurbished ones. These devices are usually prevalent on eBay. This year, older generation MacBooks could be offered for 50 to 60 percent off their original retail price.
