A Revolution is coming to Verizon: LG Revolution to come out on May 26
The Revolution by LG will soon be available in Verizon stores on May 26. It will cost $249.99 with a two year customer agreement.
LG's Revolution runs Verizon's new 4G LTE network. The smart phone is Verizon's third 4G phone; right after the HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung's Droid Charge. The Revolution has a 4.3 inch WVGA touch screen. It is powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. The phone is Bluetooth capable and has a built-in HDMI output and SmartShare capability. Other features are a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a 720p HD video recorder and playback and a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera for video calling.
The phone uses an integrated Bing Search and Maps for your search engine needs. The Revolution also features a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology. There will also be an image editor to make any photos appear professionally shot. The phone has a 16Gb microSD card and Dolby Mobile. For users who want more apps, you can access the Android Market for more than 200,000 apps.
The handy mobile hotspot capability allows user to share 4G LTE access with other Wi-Fi enable devices. Users can download apps or music on Verizon's blazing 4G LTE network with a speed of 5-12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2-5 Mbps in coverage areas.
It is also the first Android based phone that has Netflix preloaded. Other Android phones could opt to add Netflix but the Revolution comes preloaded. According to Computerworld Verizon is also launching several other phones along with the LG Revolution most notably the Motorola Droid X2 and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Buyers will have a plethora of smart phone to choose from this week. Let's hope our wallets can handle it.
