‘Rick And Morty’ Season 3 news: Gromflomites could save Rick from intergalactic authorities
Rick Sanchez, the main protagonist of the popular show 'Rick and Morty', will likely be rescued by gromflomites during the opening episode of 'Rick and Morty season 3', according to several reports. During the season finale of season 2, Rick turned himself into the intergalactic authorities for a tall list of crimes, allowing his family to return home to Earth after they accompanied him through his voyage through space.
While there's still a lot of uncertainty over the launch date of season 3 (earlier reports hinted at a July 26 premiere), the cartoon franchise recently launched GalacticFederation.com to tease several plots and storylines ahead of the new season. The website has an inventory of every galactic federation prisoner, including Rick, who goes by the id "AE-3852-I" and is wanted for "Everything". The database also includes aliens such as amfiddians, vulvorvians, crittendians and floovians that are wanted for varying crimes. Funny enough, some of the humans are imprisoned for "selling bootleg human hair" and "having thoughts against the government".
Rick and Morty season 3: Will Ricks from other dimensions save Rick?
Upon clicking on the "Rewards" button, users can view a feed of users' comments and the latest news from planet Earth. There's also a surveillance clip that is directed towards Morty and the Smith family. After exploring the website, Tripped Media speculates that the gromflomites could help Rick escape from prison. "If one looked at the website (GalacticFederation.com) too many times, for a split second, a glitch shows a user named FR33R1CK5455 hacking into the system. The redirect page shows a Gromflomite logging in and the end of the feed, Gromflomite said that he created the private channel. Is Gromflomite-4 also the same as FR33R1CK5455 and are the gromflomites helping Rick?
"The site doesn’t really show any concrete clue regarding the identity of Rick’s sympathiser. However, we noticed that the website doesn’t really show Morty anywhere. Summer shows up in the website where alien tourists take picture of her while she eats her food," the report added, before adding that there's a possibility that Morty left the dimension to look for Rick's saviour using the help of Ricks in other dimensions or perhaps other devises used by Rick.
Dan Harmon, the co-creator of Rick and Morty, recently told Den of Geek that Rick should be out of galactic prison in quick time. “(I) think anybody wants to do a third season that simply spends a whole bunch of episodes dealing with a situation that we created at the end of the second season. When asked if Rick would get out of prison, Harmon simply said: “Things should be okay pretty quickly.”
Last month, Harmon was at Sundance Film Festival to apologise to fans for the lengthy gap betwen seasons 2 and 3, via Indie Wire. “I’m so sorry. I don’t have a release date for Season 3. It’s not that I know it and I’m not allowed to say it; it’s (Adult Swim’s) domain. What I will tell you is it’s late because of us, it’s late because of me.” Rick and Morty season 3 is still expected for a late 2017 launch. Stay tuned for the latest news and updates.
