Don’t mess with the Twi-hards! Certain that Robert Pattinson and Kristen have been snubbed big time at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, throngs of Twi-hards have stood their ground and opted to boycott the recently concluded 2013 MTV Movie Awards. Without the powerful RobSten couple, has MTV Awards suffered this year?

Multiple accounts from various news outlets which braved to review the MTV Award ceremony this year revealed that the 2013 MTV Movie Awards has indeed “lacked some spice” and followers would know that there is something missing without the attendance of Twilight lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

The celebrity couple had been nominated and won the Best Kiss Award four years in row, for their iconic role as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in the Twilight series. But this year, the organizers and officials of the 2013 MTV Awards made the shocking decision not to nominate the couple for the same category that had put a lot of spice in the MTV award ceremonies in the last four years.

But for a shocking turn of events, millions of Twi-hards must have felt robbed when their idols were not even nominated for the final installment of the Twilight series. Considering that Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 offered a different feel of kiss after Bella was transformed from human to a vampire. In the finale, only the first few sequences of the film offered romantic story line and this showed a much stronger Kristen - - a far cry from the Bella who would always be unassuming, shy and timid Bella, who would just welcome Edward’s kisses.

As different as the kiss in the Twilight finale may seem, the Twi-hard fans showed MTV that they haven’t had enough of the couple’s kiss. And they sure let MTV people and the world knew it.

A Twi-hard fan site called, Twilight Poison, enjoined tween fans to “boycott the 2013 MTV Movie Awards” and instead of tuning in to the show hosted by Australian comedienne Rebel Wilson, fans were urged to watch instead the film starred by Robert and Kristen, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

The fan tweeted: "Let’s all pop our Breaking Dawn Part 2 DVDs at exactly the same time when the show starts … We’ll comment the movie … using the hashtag: #BreakingDawnPart2Night.”

True enough, #breakingdawnpart2night was trending shortly before the MTV awards ceremony began. According to Entertainmentwise.com, it was even trending above #mtvmovieawards and its host, #rebelwilson. Also trending on Twitter throughout the ceremony was “#Robsten is the best kiss.”

‏@LovelyStewy, wrote: "I'm so proud of our fandom rn you guys are amazing for trending #breakingdawnpart2night and Robsten is the best kiss <3."

The show of support initiated by still-very-supportive Robsten fans, who have remained loyal to the handsome duo, has only proven the power of their love for the Twilight lovers and it may have indeed strong impact on high-profile Hollywood event such as the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. This is true especially when the Twi-hards are more than convinced that Twilight lovers, Robert and Kristen deserve to at least be nominated and not dissed for major categories such as the Best Kiss. Robert and Kristen have certainly ruled the MTV Movie Awards since they nabbed the career changing roles as iconic couple, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan for Twilight series.
