Robert Pattinson Says Justin Bieber is 'All Right,' Claims Other Child Stars Turned Actors 'Need To Get in Therapy'
Robert Pattinson is one actor who has tasted success at very young age of 16 but unlike other child stars (read Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez) the actor has never really acted wild or gone berserk to prove the fact that he has now grown up. In other words, the "Twilight" star has never taken success in a wild manner and it has never gone to his head. He handled success at young age very tactfully but believes that the stars of today need to "get in therapy."
"I did Harry Potter when I was like 17, and nothing really happened after that," Pattinson revealed to Vanity Fair at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Eonline.com is reporting.
The actor added that he made "loads of money compared to anyone" of his age at that time and lived independently and had his own apartment too which he thought was "incredible."
"I didn't star in Twilight until 21. It's different because you're still young, but you've had a life beforehand. Whereas if you are 10, it's a totally different thing," the actor famous for his role of a vampire Edward Cullen revealed the Web site reports.
According to Robert, he handled success, money, fame - everything in a very balanced way. But the actor is not happy with today's child stars-turned singers/actors and believes that they are running their lives and need to get treated for that.
"When you see these kids, there is only one way: you either get in therapy now or become a serial killer, or kill yourself. I mean, you can see it really early on-it's terrifying," the actor revealed.
The actor was then asked about his take on Justin Bieber, who too has been seen parading shirtless in Cannes. Robert Pattinson has all good words to say about the "Baby" singer and gets his diplomatic side out while commenting on Bieber.
"I've met him before, though, on his party bus. I've met him a couple of times. He's all right," Pattinson revealed with a laugh.
Robert Pattinson is at Cannes to promote his two movies "The Rovers" and "Maps to the Stars." Check out more about his Cannes appearance here.
