Rockstar Games Discusses 1.09 Patch for GTA Online on PS3 and Xbox 360, Exploited Cash Not Removed, Glitches Fixed, Free Vehicles and Rat Loader Patch and Release Date
The "GTA" 1.09 patch has already been released. To download it, games must connect to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The 1.09 patch fixes minor issues with "GTA Online" multiplayer mode of the video game.
The removal of ill-gotten in-game currency from the economy previously promised was not part of the update. However, Rockstar added several motorbikes, so players can now ride the Drika Double-T, Drika Akumaika and the LCC Hexer. Unfortunately, the removed Rat Loader is still absent from the most recent patch. Several new contents were added through the update as well.
A Rockstar Games representative shared some good news to players who got disappointed at the removal of the Rat Loader car from the "GTA Online" garages. According to the Rockstar Support Web site on Jan 10, Rockstar Games will make the car available for storage again. The Rat Loader vehicles and the custom mods will all be available for free for a limited time. The publisher will provide more details soon, including a possible release date of a potential patch in the future.
"We plan to make the Rat Loader and its mods free in game for a limited period of time in the future. As a result, you'll be able to own and store this vehicle again permanently, so if you lost a Rat Loader through TU 1.07 or are simply interested in checking it out, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page," Rockstar announced. "As soon as there is more information about specific dates, you will receive an automatic email notification when we update this page."
The Rat Loader and other cars were removed for the "GTA Online" garages of players with the 1.07 "GTA 5" update. A lot of players were upset because they believed that the vehicle should not be classified under the "utility" category. Rockstar Games seemed to listen to the community feedback as the publisher will reverse the changes with a possible patch soon.
The Rockstar North development team is working on adding more DLC to the "GTA 5" along with creating new patches. The new contents might include the heists missions for "GTA Online" to add to major story expansions for the "GTA 5" single-player campaign.
