Rockstar Teases First Story DLC for GTA 5, Coming in 2014
The Grand Theft Auto 5 story DLC will be released in 2014 and Rockstar Games said it has plans for big additions in 2014 to maintain a jam-packed action, mayhem and surprise adventures in Southern San Andreas for Franklin, Michael and Trevor.
While its predecessor Grand Theft Auto 4 welcomed two post-release expansions such as The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and the Damned, there is no new single-player content for GTA 5 announced yet. GTA Online Heists are also geared in for 2014. Rockstar is currently developing the heists as best as it can before the release in 2014 and despite rumours, there are still no other details revealed.
The good news is Rockstar teased that it has a lot more to announce about its plans for GTA Online and GTA 5 for 2014. The company is rumoured to release GTA 5 for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2014.
Some fans are disappointed that GTA 5's first single-player DLC will feature the same mediocre leads unlike in GTA 4 where Rockstar used the built Liberty City backdrop to tell completely different stories, giving the environment more room for players. Though the stories tied up pretty well in the end to introduce GTA 5, players would rather see what other characters in Los Santos are up to. There are many copies of GTA 5 floating around the Internet and that means the market is good for what is assumed to be a $10-20 piece of DLC.
Meanwhile, the GTA Online content creator may not have been released yet but Rockstar is already trickling out the new features in the form of race creators and deathmatch beta. These features give players the ability to create competitive shooting and races arenas for other players to play, share and rate through the Rockstar Games Social Club.
The beta allows players to customize and create jobs for the following modes: Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, GTA Race, Race and Rally Race. Rockstar will also add the Capture mode this December, a squash-based open-world option of Capture the Flag. Rockstar notes it will have four options: Raid, Hold, Contend and GTA.
