'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story': Darth Vader in new trailer; Free immersive experience; K-2SO details
A new trailer of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has been released online and Darth Vader is featured in it. Meanwhile the fans can soon get a 360 experience of the movie for free. The announcement was made in a new video, in which Alan Tudyk shared more details about his K-2SO droid character in the film.
The new trailer of the movie has been posted on the YouTube channel of JoBlo Movie Trailers. The video shows new footage from the movie, including a brief glimpse of Darth Vader (voice by James Earl Jones).
The new footage shows some of the action sequences in the movie, which includes space battles and the destruction of a planet by the Death Star. There are also more scenes from the flashback sequence that show Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) as a young girl.
Meanwhile, a new video released on the official YouTube channel of the franchise has announced that ILMxLab has created a 360 experience that is focused on “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” The fans can experience the massive space battles in the film through the helmet of a Rebel X-Wing pilot. The experience is available for free and exclusively at select Verizon stores. The experience will later be launched on Facebook 360 and YouTube 360 on Nov. 15.
In the same video, cast member Alan Tudyk (K-2SO) talked about his character in the film. The new character was formerly an Imperial droid that is captured and reprogrammed by the Rebel Alliance.
Tudyk teased one of the scenes in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” In this scene his character walks down the hall way and sees another K-2 droid. The other droid walks like a soldier, but K-2SO walks with a slouch. The actor said that this aspect of his character makes him accessible and lovable.
