Rose Byrne confirms pregnancy during girl's night out with Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer

Rose Byrne is expecting her first child with long-time boyfriend Bobby Cannavale. The actress recently debuted her baby bump on social media to confirm the baby news.

The Australian actress revealed her growing belly in a photo shared by comedian Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Instagram. Byrne is seen smiling during a girls’ night out with fellow actresses Amy Schumer, Leesa Evans and Lena Dunham, who is seen touching Byrne’s pregnant belly. The photo was captioned, “Wake up internets.” Schumer also shared the same photo on Twitter and captioned it, “How bout these cuties.”

The “X-Men: Apocalypse” actress also recently flaunted her pregnant belly on the red carpet during the screening of “Spotlight” on Tuesday. US Weekly shared several photos of the actress dressed in a floral print maxi dress. She accentuated her baby bump with a black belt cinched around her waist.

Byrne posed for a solo shot but managed to block a full view of her pregnant belly by strategically posing with her jacket covering her belly. Another photo shows her with her brother George, whom she took as her date to the Open Roads Films screening of “Spotlight.”

Both Byrne and Cannavale have yet to publicly address the pregnancy. However, this is the actress' first official appearance with the baby bump.

Reports that Byrne and Cannavale are expecting their first child together surfaced in September after she was photographed on the set of “Neighbors 2” with what appeared to be a baby bump. At that time Entertainment Online claimed the bulge was probably just in keeping with her character in the film. However, the site looked back at an old photo of the couple captured in July. In it Byrne and Cannavale are walking hand-in-hand and the actress is already sporting a small belly bump.

Then in October her baby bump became more obvious. The actress was photographed on Oct. 22 leaving the Los Angeles airport wearing a loose flannel shirt that accentuated her pregnant belly.

Cannavale and the 36-year old Byrne have so far kept their relationship private since they started dating in 2012. However, both have starred in movies together including “Annie” and “Adult Beginners.”
