Samsung's production lines for the Galaxy Note 3 should start humming in August, new reports said, and it will sport a 5.7-inch phone screen not a 6-inch as earlier reported.

The fast-tracking, according to Korean new site ETNews, is mainly to arrest the supposed revenue slides that will follow the slowing down Galaxy S4 global sales. The publication had earlier reported that Samsung will no longer anchor its 2013 sales target on the GS4.

Apparently, the Asian tech giant is now looking to the Note 3 as the banner product to carry on with Samsung's giant push for the remaining months of 2013.

Thus beginning in August, Samsung will place orders for "follow-up models (to the GS4)," with the Note 3 acting as the chief Galaxy device, ETNews said on its report, citing a Samsung insider as its source.

The news came out as leaked specs and purported images of the Note 3 started coming out in almost regular intervals in the past week, hinting that a final design of the gadget has been completed and volume production is given a green light.

The latest clue came from @evleaks, claiming that the Note 3 screen size will follow a 5.7-inch template, which is one of the screen dimensions that according to Reuters were under Apple's consideration for the rumoured iPhone 6.

Other sources added that the third-gen Samsung phablet will largely assume the GS4 look and feel, save for its wider screen. It will flash the same Full HD Super AMOLED with 1080p display resolution.

On the CPU department, it will be a toss between a Snapdragon 800 and Exynos Octa 5, which are essentially quad-core with a remarkable energy-efficient quality, giving the upcoming device enough muscle and longer operating hours.

The Note 3 is also expected to debut with a 13MP snapper plus optical zoom and image stabilisation camera features with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 as likely the power behind its exciting capabilities.

Release date for the Galaxy Note 3 is pegged for September this year as most analysts believe Samsung will host Episode 2 of its Unpack Event before or a parallel occasion of the 2013 IFA in Berlin.
