Samsung Aware Of Gap Issue On Galaxy Note 4, Mentions It As Important Manufacturing Feature In Note 4 User Manual
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4, one of the most sought after smartphones of the year has been recently criticized for construction error as there is a gap between the display screen and the metal casing. The gap is so wide that a business card can easily fit in it.
When Samsung came to know about it, they released a press statement to Trusted Reviews. It reads as follows "The reported issue does not impact the functionality or quality of the Galaxy Note 4. We assure our customers that all Galaxy Note 4 units meet our strict manufacturing and quality control standards"'
It is interesting to note that Samsung is well aware of the gap and has even mentioned about it the user manual of Galaxy Note 4 meant for European audience. PhoneArena claims that on the page number 180 of the user manual, Samsung has spoken about the gap under the topic 'Troubleshooting,' it states that there is a gap on the outer section of Note 4's case.
It further reads as the gap is nothing but an important manufacturing feature. Over time, the gap can widen because of the friction between internal parts. According to AndroidCentral, when Samsung says that the gap can broaden in the future, people won't be able to trust the build quality of the device.
PhoneArena says that users won't be expecting a gap on the device that can widen as time passes. The Galaxy Note 4 is going to release in South Korea and the issue was first highlighted by Korean press, ITToday.co.kr
AndroidCentral claims that the since the issue has been highlighted by Korean media, it's not sure whether the Note 4 devices for global markets also have the same issue. We can only come to know about it when the Note 4 becomes available globally.
