Rumours hint that Samsung will have three flagship smartphones for 2014 - Galaxy S5, Galaxy J and Galaxy F. Galaxy J is set for December 2013 followed by Galaxy S5 and Galaxy F by early 2014 possibly at the CES event next year. Here are the top things people should know about Samsung's biggest comeback.

Samsung Galaxy J for December 2013

Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy F in Taiwan by Dec 9, 2013 as an opening preview for the Galaxy S5 and may be the closing ceremony for the Galaxy S4. Rumours have hinted an upcoming Galaxy S5 with heavy-packed specifications in early 2014 around March or April, but the Galaxy J technical details revealed something else that makes the Galaxy S5 more powerful than ever expected.

Galaxy J specifications include:

- 5 inches of display screen with 1,080p quality

- 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor

- 3 GB of RAM

- 13 MP rear camera

The four hinted details point a hybrid combination of the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 with an updated 3 GB of RAM. If the Galaxy J features all these hardware power, then the Galaxy S5 will have even better hardware components in addition to the 64-bit Exynos 6 processor.

Samsung Galaxy S5

ETNews revealed that the Galaxy S5 is not yet ready until the end of March 2014 for commercial release and may have to attend CES 2014 for its announcement. However, a tweet from an insider named Eldur Murtazin contradicted the ETNews report.

According to the insider, the Galaxy S5 won't take place until April 2014 but still within timeframe of Samsung's standard Galaxy S releases. Other less credible rumours exposed the Galaxy S5 benchmarking results such from GFXBench.

Based on the benchmarking result, the Galaxy S5 is dubbed as SM-G900S with assumption of Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 2,560 x 1,440 resolution and 1,440p display - better than the Galaxy J.

Unfortunately, results such as this can be faked easily which doesn't guarantee anything at all even if Samsung is currently testing the device. For those wondering what's real about the Galaxy S5, take note of the upcoming Exynos 6 processor with 64-bit support as a match of Apple's iPhone 5S.

Samsung Galaxy F and Galaxy Note Lite

New reports claim Samsung has more smartphones to offer by 2014 and it includes Galaxy F, Galaxy Note 3 Lite and at least three more models.

According to reports by ETNews, the Galaxy F will become the superior flagship smartphone series of Samsung to succeed Galaxy S and Galaxy Note family. The Galaxy F is the upcoming new Samsung brand that features an octa-core processor, 16 MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation and metallic body. The Galaxy F with powerful processor, RAM, camera and metal exterior could become the most expensive Samsung smartphone that may equal or surpass the cost of current Samsung phones that cost up to $700 per unit without a contract.

It seems like Samsung is trying to revamp its current Galaxy line with different series and now it begins with J and F added to the S family. Former Galaxy line such as Ace and Mini may not exist anymore if Samsung begins to re-classify devices.
