The Samsung Galaxy A5 belongs to the new Galaxy Alpha family. The other two handsets from the same family include the Galaxy A3 (SM-A300) and the Galaxy A7 (SM-A700). The Galaxy A series handsets are variants of the original Galaxy Alpha, which comes with premium design.

Yesterday, we had published the news on Galaxy A7 specifications that was revealed through GFXBench. Today, a retailer from Kazakhstan has revealed the pricing along with the specifications of Galaxy A5, states PhoneArena.

The Galaxy A5 is a dual-SIM handset and Samsung is selling the LTE edition of the Galaxy A5 in Kazakhstan. The Galaxy A5, which comes with an impressive metallic frame, will be made available through Technodom carrier in the country. The Galaxy A5 retail price in Kazakhstan is 99,990 KZT, which equates to 552 US dollars. The handset is expected to arrive in the US very soon like the Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A3. However, the Kazakh pricing indicates that it may come out with an expensive price tag in the US.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 Duos LTE seems to be sporting a costly price tag, states GSMArena. The handset measures 139.9 x 69.7 x 6.7 mm, and it only weighs 123 g.

The Galaxy A5 (SM-A500) features 5-inch Super AMOLED display screen that supports HD resolution. It is powered with Snapdragon 400 SoC, which features a Cortex A7 quad-core processor that delivers clocking speeds of 1.2 GHz along with 1 GB RAM.

The handset will come preloaded with Android v4.4.4 KitKat. It has an internal storage space of 16 GB. There is a microSD card storage support too. It features a 13 MP camera on its rear side along with LED flash. On the front, there is a 5 MP camera. It is also equipped with NFC connectivity. It is packed with 2330 mAh capacity battery.

The elder sibling, the Galaxy A7 is equipped with high-end features. It has a 5.2-inch display with support for 1080p resolution. It is powered with 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor which works at 1.5 GHz. It has 2 GB RAM onboard and comes with 16 GB of internal storage space. It is equipped with numerous connectivity features including NFC and LTE.
